After its initial test phase, Uber is officially launching in Berlin on 7th February 2013. The Uber app enables clients to order a luxury limousine with private driver on-demand. Already active in 25+ cities worldwide, Uber has provided hundreds of thousands of customers with a reliable, comfortable means of local transportation. Now, Uber is bringing the same consistent quality to Berlin as its first foray into Germany.
How does Uber work?
The client sees an overview of the vehicles located close by and confirms their pickup location directly in the app (iPhone / Android). Uber will then confirm the request through the app and within minutes, a professional chauffeur will arrive at the client’s location in a luxury limousine. Upon arrival at the client’s desired destination, payment is conducted automatically via credit card and a receipt is e-mailed automatically to the client.
European Expansion
With Berlin as its fifth official European city, Uber is continuing its rapid international expansion. Joining Paris, London, Amsterdam, and Stockholm, Berlin is an ideal market for Uber due to its global character, international tech scene, and prevalence of fashion, art and media.
